Ginger Hendrix's Actual Bio
Started writing songs for the kids at Teacher Mary School, our weekly (completely life saving) parent participation class. I didn't want to sing Barney, so I made them up myself. The kids liked them. Very good news. Two years and a big load of songs later, I'm offering MACARONI BOY EATS AT CHEZ SHOOBY DOO as the anti-dote to mindless kid music. (Sorry, Barney.) The way I see it, kids lives are kooky enough. We don't have to make this stuff up.
I've been a writer as long as I can remember--poetry, mostly. Songwriting is a fairly new venture, and one that I can't stop doing now. What a hoot.
I live in Morro Bay, California with my husband Pete and two sons--Will and Theo, who give some real bang-up back up vocals on "How the Days Go By" and "Funny Word Dictionary."
